Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Hamilton County, New York. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Part-time with flexible hours.
