Vacancy available: port container crane operator (West Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Taylor County, West Virginia. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. On a typical shift you will hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands. What we are looking for: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Understanding of hand and radio signals • A good head for heights for tower crane work Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
