Hand presser — Wyoming County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a hand presser in Wyoming County, West Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
