Sample machinist — Inverclyde

Join our team: we are hiring a sample machinist in Inverclyde, Scotland. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. The role involves: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around £1,900 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
