Foundry labourer — Waupaca County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Waupaca County, Wisconsin. The job is on the moulding line. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Your main tasks: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Six days a week, one day off.
