Tailor machinist — Dawakin Tofa

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Dawakin Tofa, Kano State. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
