Great opportunity: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Doncaster, England. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control You will swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs.
