Furnace operator — Peterborough

Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Peterborough, England. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. On the job you will handle: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry We offer £3,100 per project plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
