We are recruiting: we are hiring a tracked excavator operator in Grundy County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Day-to-day duties: • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
