Now hiring: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Bailey County, Texas. The job is at an automotive components factory. The role involves: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
