Requirements: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg Day-to-day duties: • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
