Immediate opening: reinforcement fitter (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Roanoke County, Virginia. Day to day you will lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
