Brick and block layer — Sacramento County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Sacramento County, California. Day to day you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. Ideal candidate: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
