You should have: • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Good attention to detail and steady hands The role involves: • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
