Join our team: we are hiring an escalator technician in Pike County, Georgia. The job is at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. The role involves: • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake You should have: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate 3+ years on the tools preferred.
