Semi-automatic welder wanted in Emmet County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Emmet County, Iowa. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. On the job you will handle: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Willing to work shifts and overtime Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
