Offshore rigger — Jackson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Jackson County, Mississippi. The job is at a shipyard. Day to day you will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear We offer $3,100 per month plus benefits.
