Gas meter installer wanted in Cass County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Cass County, Michigan. On a typical shift you will complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation. You should have: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $190 per day, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
