Brickwork mason • Middlesex County, Massachusetts

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. You will work on a busy housing site. The role involves building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. What we are looking for: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
