Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Hampton County, South Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Rotating shifts.
