Gang bricklayer — Gadsden County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Gadsden County, Florida. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks On the job you will handle: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Part-time with flexible hours.
