Great opportunity: shakeout operator (Texas)

Join our team: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Zavala County, Texas. The job is on the moulding line. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor You will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $3,800 per month, based on your experience.
