Now hiring: machine setter-operator (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a machine setter-operator in City of Bristol, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills Day-to-day duties: • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels 6+ years on the tools preferred.
