Shakeout operator — Codington County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Codington County, South Dakota. You will work on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
