Join our team: we are hiring a commis chef in Passaic County, New Jersey. You will be based at a busy restaurant kitchen. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat Your main tasks: • Follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces • Marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift • Check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO • Cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
