Visual inspection operator — South Tyneside

Immediate opening: we are hiring a visual inspection operator in South Tyneside, England. You will be based in an electronics assembly workshop. Your main tasks: • Check packaging, labelling and barcode accuracy before dispatch • Calibrate and verify hand gauges before each shift • Record measurements on inspection sheets and SPC charts • Check visually for scratches, dents, burrs and colour variation • Inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting • Carry out first-article and in-process checks on the production line Requirements: • Good eyesight and colour vision for visual inspection • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols • Able to stand for full shifts on the production floor Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
