Die-casting operator wanted in Will County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Will County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
