Immediate opening: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in City of Petersburg, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork Day-to-day duties: • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters Part-time with flexible hours.
