Fettler — Edgecombe County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Six days a week, one day off.
