Gas meter installer — Ventura County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Ventura County, California. You will be based at a boiler and appliance service centre. Day to day you will test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration Rotating shifts.
