Vacancy available: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Live Oak County, Texas. The job is in a job-work machining unit. Your main tasks: • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles What we are looking for: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
