Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar installer in Montgomery County, Texas. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. What we are looking for: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites On the job you will handle: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
