Panel welder — Augusta County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a panel welder in Augusta County, Virginia. The job is at an automobile body shop. You should have: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Day to day you will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; grind back and re-weld any defective runs.
