Canteen cook — Shelby County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a canteen cook in Shelby County, Alabama. You will work in a hospital or office canteen. The role involves prepare the mise en place before each service; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes. You should have: • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Strong knife skills and speed on the line At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
