Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Adams County, Iowa. The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Full-time with occasional weekends.
