Sand plant operator • Douglas County, Washington

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Douglas County, Washington. On a typical shift you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
