Immediate opening: rigger (Michigan)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Gogebic County, Michigan. You will work at a power plant. Your main tasks: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
