Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete worker in Powhatan County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
