Vacancy available: we are hiring a single needle operator in Tripp County, South Dakota. The job is on an export house sewing floor. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens On the job you will handle: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
