Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Pacific County, Washington. On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts 1+ years on the tools preferred.
