Ladle pourer — Placer County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Placer County, California. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $26 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
