We are recruiting: we are hiring a bricklayer in Jefferson County, Indiana. On the job you will handle: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
