Shakeout operator — Bay County

Join our team: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Bay County, Michigan. Day to day you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings 2+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
