MIG/MAG welder — Culpeper County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Culpeper County, Virginia. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Your main tasks: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence You should have: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • ITI in welder trade or equivalent 3+ years on the tools preferred.
