Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift The role involves: • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
