Vacancy available: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in Surry County, Virginia. The job is in a tool room. Ideal candidate: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Day to day you will adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; run first-off inspection and sign off the part. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
