UPVC welding machine operator — Caledonia County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Caledonia County, Vermont. You will be based at a uPVC door and window showroom-cum-workshop. On a typical shift you will check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router; fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails. Requirements: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits $250 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
