Trowel-trade bricklayer — South Ayrshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in South Ayrshire, Scotland. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently We offer £6,700 per project plus benefits.
