We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Accomack County, Virginia. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Full-time with occasional weekends.
