Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Saline County, Kansas. The job is at a container port. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles You will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
